Photoelectric, Proximity and Ultrasonic Optex sensors

Our line of Optex sensors are geared towards photoelectric, ultrasonic and proximity dependent electronics. Specializing in security solutions, Optex sensors serve to make sliding, swinging, and automatic doors function better and with increased safety.

Optex sensors work similar to light and sound transmitters. Photoelectric Optex sensors kick into gear through a light transmitter when a presence is detected. When an object is in the target range, the light beam is blocked and this engages the sensor to work. On the other hand, proximity Optex sensors are engaged without sensing a presence or body within its range capacity. These sensors emit electromagnetic or electrostatic beams which allow the object to open and close. Although both photoelectric and proximity Optex sensors are targeted to work differently, they both require strong radiation dependencies and utilize infrared technologies to work and engage properly. Lastly, ultrasonic Optex sensors work off sound. Generating high frequency waves, these sensors function in the presence of echoes or sound waves.
